Prime Day History and Evolution
Amazon Prime Day kicked off in 2015 to celebrate the retailer's own anniversary. Originally 24 hours long, it now takes two days or more. For many Amazon customers, the original Prime Day was something of a letdown - in part because there were insufficient quantities of gear to meet demand and its deals weren't great.)
